The Furious (2026)

The film was a wall to wall and balls to balls martial arts action film that i haven’t seen since the days of The Raid films directed by Gareth Evans. The Furious was surely a grit & grime movie and as told in the movie – set at an unknown City in Southeast Asia. I personally thought the movie may have taken place in the Philippines but Bangkok & Indonesia are strong candidates as well. The plot is simply this, a father who is searching for his kidnapped daughter as he unearths a dirty ring of child trafficking. There are many swiss cheese holes in the story and many details left out like explaining the origin of our protagonist along with his cohorts but I don’t think that was the main gist of the film. I believe the movie was to enrage the viewers and incite the audience in cheering for the heroes of the film as they deliver unbelievable feats of fighting action! the action scenes & violence in this film is undefeated! Muy Thai, Karate, Kung Fu, and the Indonesian fighting art Pencak Silat were on full display! The knife & various weaponry fight sequences from the Indonesian villain was dizzying & excruciating to watch as he delivers pain to his opponents. The fight choreography as a whole was amazingly raw yet so beautiful to watch. the various arts were represented to the highest level. I definitely recommend this film if you love martial arts action delivered in pure cinematic beauty & uber violence! This is definitely a movie to watch on the big screen if you can!
