Alphabet City – “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised” – photos

April 19th, 2012 by Mr. C

A weekday gander around alphabet city led me onto some new and old graff pieces including the mural on Gil Scott-Heron on 12th & Avenue C and the mocking of The Fancy buff over Pinterest which The Fancy commisioned the Tats Cru to paint. The Fancy piece can be found on 2nd street by Avenue A. I was also trying to get into the community park known as La Plaza Cultural on Avenue C and 9th street with all the ingenious sculptures made from recyclable material perched on top of the fence throughout the perimeter of the park, but unfortunately the green space was locked.

Thanks to Eating in Translation for the 411 on the Tats Cru piece. Check them out for NYC eats and beyond!
