brooklyn botanical garden – photos

April 10th, 2012 by Mr. C

We spent a better part of Easter Sunday at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden to soak in some nature to offset the concrete slabs with the hopes to catch some cherry blossoms in bloom but I think we were just a few days too early. According to this really neat map offered online by Brooklyn Botanical Garden, you can actually see the “CherryWatch Blossom Status“. Pretty darn cool updates for the green thumb & plant enthusiast in you! The smells and sight of mother nature was a much needed reprieve from the everyday grind.

On the weekend of April 28-29th, come down to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden for the Sakura Matsuri event! It’s going to be a funfilled weekend celebrating traditional and contemporary Japanese culture! We are talking about Taiko Drumming • Manga Artists • J-Pop Bands • Tea Ceremonies * Samurai Sword Fighting • Cosplay Fashion Show • Bonsai Demonstrations • Minbu Folk Dance • Kids’ Workshops • Puzzle Plaza and More!

See ya’ there and in the meantime enjoy some photos that we took from the BBG!
